Kavya Udhyami
Let's have a look at an event where students create and sell products providing valuable hands-on experience highlighting the challenges and rewards of running a business, inspiring students and preparing them for their future.
Kavya College recently hosted an inspiring and hands-on event titled “Kavya Udhyami”, designed to cultivate entrepreneurial mindset among students. This unique initiative encouraged participants to develop innovative products and bring them to life, from ideation to sales. More than just a business exhibition, Kavya Udhyami was a real-world learning platform where students experienced the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship firsthand.
In today’s fast-paced world, bookish knowledge alone isn’t enough. Kavya Udhyami bridged the gap between theory and practice by offering students the chance to:
Design and develop market-ready products
Engage with real customers
Learn about pricing, branding, and marketing strategies
Understand teamwork, time management, and budgeting
The event highlighted Kavya College’s commitment to entrepreneurial education, making it one of the leading institutions in Nepal to actively promote student-led innovation and business development.
Here’s a closer look at some of the standout student projects presented during the event:
An intelligent safety device that can sense dangerous gases such as methane and propane in real-time. It provides safety at home, in the kitchen, and in industry, and can prove to be a lifesaver. It is an example of the increasing significance of technology driven safety innovations.
For an ever moving world, this eco-friendly powerbank solution provides mobile charging for devices based on sustainable energy consumption. Students focused energy efficiency, portability, and durability.
From fragrant herbal bars to innovative paper soaps, this project combined innovation and sustainability. It addressed the demand for natural skincare products and demonstrated the potential for customizable and sustainable brands.
This project transformed discarded paper into valuable recycled sheets, promoting environmental conservation and resource management. It was effective and educational, showing students how small initiatives can drive larger sustainability goals.
Students learned controlled farming methods to cultivate edible mushrooms such as oyster and button mushrooms. Urban farming, food sustainability, and the financial sustainability of small farming were the project areas of concern.
Responding to the post pandemic need for hygiene, this group created hand sanitizers whose ingredients are safe and non-irritating on the skin. It was a classic case of health conscious entrepreneurship with functional relevance.
The events, like Kavya Udhyami, extend beyond the regular classroom session. They:

Promote creative problem solving and thinking
Introduce students to the fundamentals of startup culture
Stimulate long term interest in enterprise and innovation
These experiences are vital in shaping future-ready graduates who are not only job-seekers but also job creators.
